1. Client-Initiated Cancellations
More than 48 hours before the tour:
✅ Full refund or free rescheduling
Less than 48 hours before the tour:
❌ No refund (costs have already been incurred)
Rescheduling may be possible depending on availability.
Same-day cancellation or no-show:
❌ 100% cancellation fee applies
2. Holiday Packages
Holiday packages often include hotels, transfers, and third-party services.
Refunds depend on supplier policies.
In general:
- 7+ days before: Partial refund (supplier deductions apply)
- Less than 7 days: Mostly non-refundable
- No-shows: No refund
We will always provide a detailed breakdown when processing cancellations.
3. Mikumi Day Trip Safari
Due to logistics and park fees:
- 72+ hours before: Full refund
- 48–72 hours before: 50% refund
- Less than 48 hours: No refund
4. Cancellations by Visit Zanzibar Island
We may cancel a tour due to:
- Bad weather
- Safety issues
- Low tide or ocean conditions
- Mechanical issues
- National park restrictions
If we cancel, you will receive:
- A full refund, or
- A free reschedule, or
- An alternative tour of equal value
The choice is yours.
5. Refund Processing Time
Refunds are processed within:
- 3–7 business days for mobile money and bank transfers
- 5–10 business days for card or online payment gateways
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.
6. Late Arrivals
If you arrive late and the group has already departed:
- The tour is considered a no-show
- No refund is provided
We recommend adding extra travel time to avoid delays.
7. Third-Party Bookings
If you booked through:
- A travel agent
- Online platforms
- Hotel reception
Please request cancellation or refund through them directly, following their policies.
8. Force Majeure
No refunds for cancellations caused by events outside our control, such as:
- Extreme weather
- Government actions
- Natural disasters
- Airline strikes
We will assist you with rescheduling where possible.
