1. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed only after:

  • You submit a booking form on our website, OR
  • You contact us via email, phone, or WhatsApp, AND
  • We issue a written confirmation.

Certain tours or services may require a deposit or full payment before confirmation.

2. Payments

We accept:

  • Mobile money
  • Bank transfer
  • Cash payments
  • Card payments through PesaPal

All payments must be made in the currency and method specified in your invoice or booking confirmation.

3. Pricing

All prices on our website are:

  • Quoted per person unless stated otherwise
  • Subject to change based on availability, seasonal demand, and third-party supplier costs

You will always receive the final confirmed price before payment.

4. Customer Responsibilities

By booking with us, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate personal and travel information
  • Follow the safety instructions provided by guides
  • Ensure you have valid travel documents (passport, visa, permits)
  • Inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs
  • Arrive on time for scheduled tours and transfers

Failure to comply may result in cancellation without refund.

5. Changes by the Client

If you wish to change a date or reschedule, notify us as early as possible.
Changes are subject to:

  • Availability
  • Third-party partner policies
  • Any applicable fee

6. Changes by the Company

We reserve the right to modify or cancel tours in circumstances such as:

  • Bad weather
  • Safety concerns
  • Operational issues
  • Supplier or park authority restrictions

If this happens, you will receive one of the following:

  • A rescheduled date,
  • An alternative tour of equal value, or
  • A refund according to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend all travelers to have valid travel insurance covering:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Loss or damage of personal items
  • Trip cancellation

We are not responsible for personal losses not caused by our direct negligence.

8. Safari, Marine & Adventure Activities

Activities such as snorkeling, boat trips, wildlife safaris, and water sports carry inherent risks.
By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree that:

  • You are physically able to join the activity
  • You will follow guide instructions at all times
  • You participate at your own risk

Visit Zanzibar Island will not be liable for injury, illness, or loss caused by third-party providers or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Liability Disclaimer

We are not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by airlines, ferries, traffic, or weather
  • Accidents or issues arising from third-party suppliers
  • Losses resulting from inaccurate customer information
  • Force majeure events (storms, government actions, natural disasters)

Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the booked service.

10. Use of Website

You agree not to:

  • Copy or reuse content without permission
  • Misuse booking forms
  • Attempt to disrupt website functionality

Violations may lead to blocked access.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania.
Any disputes will be handled under Tanzanian jurisdiction.
